We are seeking an experienced and a highly dynamic finance professional to the role of Financial Accounting Director.

Your role will focus on developing financial accounting and other financial processes for Evondos Group. You will play a key role in change management, financial integration and the improvement of financial processes, enabling the company’s scalable growth.

Your responsibilities on a strategic level include:

• Ownership of Group’s financial accounting process and policies
• Managing the subsidiary finance teams – three persons in Finland, three in Netherlands and an outsourced international accounting team
• Leading the integration process and the incorporation of the Dutch subsidiary into group's financial structures and processes
• Lead change management initiatives to ensure the efficient and seamless implementation of new processes and operating models, and to engage people and team members in the change process in different countries

And on more detailed level, together with your team:

• Group financial accounting manual
• Financial accounting instructions for group and subsidiary accounting teams
• High quality financial statements and interim reports
• Monthly consolidated accounting reports
• Efficient financial accounting processes
• Tax matters including transfer pricing
• Financial audit co-operation
• Support for management accounting and business control development

We expect you to have:

To succeed in this role, you need several years of experience on financial accounting in a large corporation, a scaleup company and/or in audit/consultancy company, also from an international context, and a relevant master’s degree in accounting. Strong knowledge of FAS and IFRS is needed, experience on IFRS conversion projects is a benefit. You should have hands-on capability to make e.g. advanced group consolidations.

You possess large knowledge on different financial accounting systems and have the capability to develop them. You are also experienced on working with auditors. All other financial management experience e.g. management accounting or business control is a benefit as well as M&A experience.

Another important part of this role is the leadership part. You have leadership experience and the abilities to drive change management, through engaging, motivating and inspiring the people around, also through excellent communication and facilitation skills. You can adapt to the needs of a fast-growing PE owned company.

Fluent English and Finnish language skills are a must-have. Your primary location will be either our Helsinki or Salo office, with hybrid work possibilities. You may need to travel occasionally to other Evondos locations like Netherlands.
