Key Account Manager (f/m/d)
About The Role
As a Key Account Manager, you play a crucial role throughout the entire sales process – from lead generation to the successful completion of projects. You represent camLine to our customers in the DACH region and build long-term, strategic partnerships. In this role, you’ll develop your own expertise in a complex high-tech manufacturing field. Through continuous learning and collaboration, you’ll have the opportunity to grow and help shape the future of manufacturing at camLine.
Responsibilities
- Generate leads through active acquisition, qualified proposal development, and compelling customer presentations.
- Proactively develop and strategically support existing and new customers at the national and international levels.
- Manage the complete sales processes from needs analysis and quotation calculation to contract signing.
- Present and demonstrate our innovative software solutions through seminars, sales calls, and technical workshops.
- Identify customer needs and demonstrating the added value through tailored digitalization concepts.
- Develop pricing strategies in close collaboration with the Sales Management Team.
- Engage directly with executives and C‑level stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison between customers and internal departments such as Development, Project Management, and Operations.
- Analyze and monitor the market, evaluate competitor activities, and contribute to sales strategy development.
About The Ideal Candidate
- Completed degree in engineering (e.g., electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering) or equivalent qualification.
- At least 4 years of professional experience as a Sales Manager or Key Account Manager in comparable B2B sales environments.
- Ideally, experience in production/manufacturing environments, preferably in medical devices, semiconductors, solar, or similar high‑tech industries.
- Understanding of the potential of digitalization technologies and ability to inspire decision‑makers through concrete value propositions.
- Comprehensive understanding of automation concepts and the challenges of digital transformation.
- Strong networking skills and confident presence on social media – communicative, proactive, and capable of building authentic customer relationships.
- You have a strong preference for new customer business and enjoy the challenge of opening new doors.
- A responsible mindset with eloquence, strong empathy, and polished communication style.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
