ABOUT THE ROLE:

The bread and butter of Elisa Polystar is software and automation for the telecommunication industry. Our growing clientele consists of well beyond 100 telecom companies globally. We grow as a company both via won new deals (new clients and expansion of current accounts) and through mergers and acquisitions. This background provides the foundation for the work of Legal Counsel: close collaboration with the sales team on different types of contracts. 

The Legal Team is a group of collaborative professionals. Although it’s beneficial if you have expertise from the software or telecom industry, the responsibility of the role is always to provide the expertise in all things related to law and contracting.

What’s highly important for us as a Legal Team is provide support when legal support is needed. All things related to contracts covering our solutions is an essential part of the work. As a vendor in our industry, new technologies, data driven solutions and the increasing need to protect communications data and the critical systems of our customers, requires an evolving legal support function.

Thus, as Legal Counsel, you will work closely with different teams across the company, supporting both day-to-day internal operations and business relations with our customers, finding creative and solution-oriented ways forward while managing risk. The work is fast-paced, and no day is the other alike. An analytical problem solver who is a true team player fits in perfectly.

The role is quite independent (support is available when you need it). The team works in a hybrid model, typically a couple of days a week at the office and the rest remotely. 

You report to our Head of Legal.

THE BACKGROUND NEEDED:

• LLM law degree from a Nordic university;
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, including contractual work; and
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English and a Nordic language (written and spoken).

FURTHER BACKGROUND THAT SUPPORTS THE WORK:

• Experience from working in an international setting;
• Familiar with international commercial contracts (drafting and negotiating);
• Service-minded, detailed-oriented, with high organizational skills and a passion for the law;
• A strong interest in the technology & telecom business; and
• Experience from privacy related themes.

This is a full-time, permanent position based either in Stockholm or Helsinki. We interview on a rolling basis. Starting date – 1st August.
