We are looking for a legal counsel ideally with a couple of years of experience for a full-time, permanent position in Espoo. In this position you get to work in close cooperation with the company’s General Counsel and executive leadership on a variety of tasks and to develop both your legal skills as well as business understanding.

The precise job description of the main tasks can be tailored based on your interest and skill level. It will in any case be a mix of strategic, tactical and operational tasks, where your responsibilities will grow as you gain experience.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:

• supporting in all legal and compliance matters, including commercial legal matters and corporate governance of a publicly listed company

• agreement drafting, reviewing and negotiations

• supporting in data privacy matters

• supporting in regulatory monitoring and ensuring compliance with new and existing regulation

• assisting in developing, maintaining and implementing policies, guidelines and best practices

• providing training on legal matters

• supporting in preparation of Board and Committee meeting materials and meeting governance

• assisting in organizing General Meetings of Shareholders

• supporting with insurance matters and claims

• assisting in various administrative tasks, e.g. related to corporate governance, insider management, legalization of documents, etc.

This position reports to the General Counsel.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

• Master’s degree in Law

• couple of years of experience as an in-house lawyer or in a law firm - prior experience working in an in-house legal department is considered an asset

• practical experience in commercial and corporate law as well as contract drafting and review

• capability to learn new things quickly

• proactive attitude, with the ability to work autonomously, but also to judge when it is necessary or beneficial to request for guidance

• structured way of working with strong attention to detail

• ability to work effectively under pressure

• excellent skills in Finnish and English
