Manager, IPR, Finland
Responsibilies
Responsible for overseeing and managing the company's intellectual property portfolio, which includes patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. This role is crucial in protecting Suominen's innovations and ensuring compliance with intellectual property laws.
- Overseeing the company's patent portfolio, including filing, prosecution, and maintenance of patents.
- Ensuring that the company's trademarks are registered and protected in relevant markets.
- Negotiating and managing licensing agreements related to the company's intellectual property.
- Developing and implementing strategies to leverage intellectual property for business growth and competitive advantage.
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with intellectual property laws and taking action against infringements.
- Active portfolio management, identifying market opportunities, supporting sales initiatives, deliver cost and price guidance information via PUP process, and ensure alignment between customer needs and internal capabilities.
- Coordinate with R&D and production to develop or modify products in line with customer requirements and cost targets.
- Coordinate with Director, PM, and with continuous improvement manager at the region, to identify and analyze product portfolio profitability improvements, bringing solutions to regional management team.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to support product launches, promotional strategies, and customer communication as well as product samples from active portfolio.
- Support capacity planning, demand forecasting, and inventory strategy in alignment with product strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.

Experience
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a product management or similar commercial/technical role within manufacturing.
- Familiarity with nonwovens, technical textiles, or related industrial materials is highly preferred.
- Experience in running international projects and collaborating cross functionally.
- Proficiency in using product management tools and business analytics platforms (e.g., Excel, Power BI, ERP systems).
