Manager, IPR, Finland
Key tasks and responsibilities will include:
Responsible for overseeing and managing the company's intellectual property portfolio, which includes patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. This role is crucial in protecting Suominen's innovations and ensuring compliance with intellectual property laws.
- Overseeing the company's patent portfolio, including filing, prosecution, and maintenance of patents.
- Ensuring that the company's trademarks are registered and protected in relevant markets.
- Negotiating and managing licensing agreements related to the company's intellectual property.
- Developing and implementing strategies to leverage intellectual property for business growth and competitive advantage.
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with intellectual property laws and taking action against infringements.
- Coordinate with R&D and production to develop or modify products in line with customer requirements and cost targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Materials Science, Law or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years relevant experience required

Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in intellectual property management, preferably in a corporate or R&D environment
- Proven track record in patent portfolio management, trademark registration, and copyright enforcement
- Experience working with international IP offices (USPTO, EPO, WIPO, etc.)
- Prior exposure to licensing agreements, technology transfer, and IP litigation support
