Manager, Maintenance
Role
Plan, lead, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure that the organization's buildings, production lines, and equipment operate reliably and in compliance with Suominen's highest safety and quality standards, as well as applicable local codes, laws, and regulations.
Plan and oversee maintenance activities in accordance with established guidelines, assuming a high level of responsibility for safety, quality, legal compliance, and operational reliability.
Competence
Advanced Technical Training in Mechanics /or electrical engineering; Industrial Engineer with 5 years of experience in a similar position. Knowledge of automation (inverters, PLCs, servo motors). Knowledge of mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.) English: B2 level Technical English.
Key tasks and responsibilities
You will be responsible for leading maintenance operations by directing, planning, prioritizing, and scheduling activities (e.g., preventive and corrective maintenance programs, shutdowns, and emergency repairs) to optimize OEE and energy efficiency, resolve breakdowns and malfunctions, and minimize business disruptions.
Ensure that company assets are maintained in a way that reduces costs and that capital is used and managed effectively. Identify risks related to critical spare parts and the BCP and ensure that action plans are implemented to mitigate risk.
Develop and implement repair and maintenance procedures and manage the maintenance information system; monitor the cost and efficiency of activities to optimize resources, prioritize expenditures, and effectively meet safety and reliability standards. Ensure the availability of resources and capacity. Responsible for spare parts. Conduct root cause analyses of failures and Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEA) during shutdowns or long-term equipment failures. Implement corrective actions and pursue continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and extend the service life of key equipment.
Lead, manage, evaluate, and develop maintenance staff and external resources to ensure that repair services and activities are completed in accordance with quality standards, accurately, safely, and on time. Manage and control maintenance costs in accordance with the budget. Update the maintenance cost forecast.
