Manager, Order to Cash (OTC) Accounting

We are looking for a Manager, Order to Cash (OTC) Accounting to lead our Cash and Direct‑to‑Consumer (DTC) operations, ensuring high‑quality execution, strong controls, and continuous improvement across end‑to‑end OTC processes.
In this role, you will combine strategic leadership with hands‑on operational oversight, acting as a key interface across Finance and the wider organization. You will drive standardization, automation, and transformation initiatives while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and sustainable business growth.
What you will be doing:
Lead and manage global OTC operations
- Lead OTC Cash teams covering Cash Application, Direct‑to‑Consumer (Retail & E‑commerce) reconciliation, AR reporting, Customer Billing and Credit/Debit note creation
- Own and oversee the end‑to‑end cash application process, including ownership of bank‑connected payment applications (e.g. All My Banks)
- Ensure high‑quality and timely Retail & E‑commerce reconciliations in line with SOX requirements, including execution in Blackline
- Oversee Credit and Debit Note creation, resolve complex issues, and drive automation and standardization across billing processes
Operational control, risk & period‑close oversight
- Drive OTC period‑end closing activities and proactively identify and escalate risks to senior leadership
- Identify, assess, and mitigate operational, financial, and compliance risks within OTC processes
- Define, monitor, and automate KPIs and SLAs, implementing corrective actions where required
- Support internal and external audits, including walkthroughs, documentation, and issue remediation
Continuous improvement & transformation
- Lead process optimization, automation, digitalization, and standardization initiatives within OTC
- Oversee change management activities, ensuring effective implementation and post‑go‑live stabilization
- Actively support finance transformation initiatives aligned with GBS and Group Finance strategy
Stakeholder leadership & governance
- Serve as a key business partner across Finance, Controlling, Treasury, Customer Service, Credit Management, Legal, IT, Compliance, and Risk
- Provide people leadership to OTC Cash teams, including team leaders and process experts
- Build a culture of accountability, performance, compliance, and continuous improvement
- Support capability building, talent development, and succession planning within the OTC organization
What you need to succeed:
- 10+ years of experience in accounting or finance
- 5+ years of people‑management experience, ideally in a GBS/SSC or international environment
- Strong end‑to‑end understanding of Order‑to‑Cash processes, including cash application, AR, billing, DTC reconciliation, and reporting
- Solid knowledge of core accounting principles and OTC‑related controls
- Strong understanding of SOX/internal control frameworks and operational risk management
- Familiarity with ERP systems, payment providers, and reconciliation tools
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, automation, digital transformation)
- Ability to define and interpret KPIs, SLAs, and control metrics
- Strong analytical mindset to identify trends, root causes, and risk exposure
- Proven experience leading cross‑functional teams
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across Finance and business functions
- High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
- Ability to perform in a fast‑paced, risk‑aware, performance‑driven environment
- Proactive mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement and value creation
