Manager, Production
Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:
This position is responsible to coordinates the flow of orders, inventory, and the staffing needs, to meet the customer demands. Overseas, supervises and manages personnel, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution. Responsible for personnel feedback, instruction and discipline.
Attentive to the requirements of internal and external customers. Also, involved in the planning of maintenance work that needs to be done on the designated days.
- Coordinates operations with team leaders, maintenance, and senior management. Helps to foster greater synergy between Production, Maintenance and other support groups.
- Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop production supervisors and operators and external resources who are responsible for various operations activities.
- Develops work procedures, work policies, product specification along with new product development. Ensures operating instruction and quality documents are updated and followed.
- Ensures that the staff is motivated and efficient in order to maintain a high-level team performance.
- Assists with R&D and Technical projects. Assesses project, staffing and all resources needed.
- Continuous improvement to improve the facility’s productivity and operating conditions.
- Communicate and train personnel on any new or changing procedures.
- Strive to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all production lines. Be an advocate for cross training.
- Understand, implement and enforce all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Be an advocate for the company’s vision.
- Communicate any problems or obstacles to senior management.
- Monitor productivity rates, standards, and quality control.
- Assist Human Resources with recruitment and training of new personnel.
- Ensure training and coaching of personnel is conducted consistently, fairly and in a timely fashion.
- Ensure performance appraisals are completed during employee introductory period and annually for personnel.
- Responsible for conducting all duties in a safe manner, observing good work practices and housekeeping in the work area, and in all matters relating to cleanliness and tidiness.
- Understand and comply with all safety policies and procedures, including the company Life Saving Rules.
- Identify, correct, and document all unsafe acts, conditions and behaviors observed.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- At least 3-10 years management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 3 years of experience in the paper or nonwoven industry preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Superior computer skills, including MS Office with Excel focus, SAP, and TIPS.
- Previous supervisory skills required.
