Manager, Production, Green Bay
Job purpose is to manage manufacturing activities within an assigned manufacturing unit to ensure safety, regulatory and schedule compliance; cost containment, training and employee development
Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Managing the work and activities of production team leaders, operators and external resources who are responsible for various operations activities within a plant
- Liaisoning with functional or other operational area managers to understand current and future needs and develops plans, cost estimates, and schedules for integrating these needs into existing operations activities (e.g. Process, Maintenance, Quality Assurance and Quality control, Engineering and Supply Chain)
- Developing and implementing schedules, procedures, product and site processes and allocates labor and capital resources to maximize productivity and ensure availability level
- Responsible for performance improvement; safety, quality and environment; analyzing production, skill and competence development; maintenance and maintenance investments and inventory records to identify problems and recommend solutions
- Contributing in prioritization, plans and managing operations processes (e.g. production, planning, delivery, inventory) to minimize disruptions to production schedules
- Implementing and ensuring adherence to operations core principles
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Technical college degree preferred.
- High degree of technical knowledge in Nonwovens and related equipment capability.
- 10+ years of experience in the Nonwoven field, preferred.
- Good oral and written communication skills, record keeping, enforcement of rules and procedures, computer savvy, and the ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
- Ability to supervise, train, organize, prioritize, and schedule work assignments.
- Knowledge of budgets, costing, management principles, and procedures.
- Work with employee development and performance skills.
- Long hours, long weeks, trials that go into night shifts with flexible hours to accommodate customers and machine schedules.
- Working hands on with operators to demonstrate proper machine procedures.
