About the Role

VX Fiber is looking for a Network Engineer with deep technical expertise, drive, and a strong sense of ownership.
If you enjoy getting hands-on with everything from TOR switches to BGP routing, troubleshooting LACP, or optimizing IP transit – you’ll fit right in with us.

You’ll be working with a modern tech stack, a high degree of autonomy, and a clear sense of direction – alongside a team that knows what it takes to keep things running smoothly in real time, under 200 ms, anywhere in the world.

What you'll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain both local and cloud-based networks
• Work proactively with monitoring, performance optimization, and incident management
• Contribute to security solutions (firewalls, VPNs, segmentation)
• Collaborate closely with developers and DevOps teams
• Evaluate new technologies and influence our technical choices

What you Bring

Education

We value competence, drive, and pragmatism more than formal education – if you have the right experience, a diploma matters less.

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in network administration and troubleshooting
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing (BGP, IS-IS), switching, VLAN, DNS, and DHCP
• Experience with MPLS (LDP and Segment Routing) at the packet level
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and security protocols
• Familiarity with agile tech teams and/or DevOps environments
• Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English

Extra points if you have experience with:

• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• SD-WAN or Zero Trust architecture
• Kubernetes networking (e.g., CNI, Istio)
• Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent
• Shell scripting or programming (Python, Bash, etc.)
• Agile/Scrum and DevOps workflows

Language

Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
