OPERATIONS ANALYST, Wipak Group
As Operations Analyst you will play a key role in strengthening operational performance across Wipak’s flexible packaging manufacturing sites. The role combines data analytics, reporting development, and process insight to enable better decision making, drive continuous improvement, and support our journey toward world class operations. You will be owner of the transparency part of the Wipak Operational Excellence System, lead the development and implementation of harmonised performance metrics and reporting systems to track and improve operational performance (including safety, quality, service, waste and productivity) across the Wipak Group. You will report to Operational Excellence Director, Food Division.
This full-time position can be based at any Wipak manufacturing site in Europe. We value flexibility, and hybrid work is also possible.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Operational Reporting and Insights
- Deliver regular KPI and PPI performance reports with clear, actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain end to end reporting and analytics solutions for Wipak Operations.
- Apply industry best practices in data modelling, semantic modelling, and reporting design.
- Actively contribute to the development of the Microsoft Fabric data platform, ensuring it meets operational reporting and analytics needs.
- Lead development initiatives relating to reporting performance, data quality, and standardisation.
- Build and coordinate a community of citizen developers across sites.
- Automate and streamline data collection, validation, and processing workflows.
- Train, support, and engage report consumers to improve analytics adoption.
Operational Improvement
- Identify and communicate opportunities to improve operational processes within manufacturing and across supporting functions.
- Translate insights into tangible improvement actions for sites and cross functional teams.
- Detect deviations, analyse root causes for inefficiencies, and support corrective actions.
- Highlight system or process improvements in SAP and other operational systems.
Governance and Data Integrity
- Maintain governance processes for operational reporting, including access management and version control.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and transparency across all reporting layers.
What are we looking for?
- Typically, Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn and adopt new technologies quickly.
- Ability to manage, prioritise, and deliver work independently and effectively whilst having the ability to work in a team environment in a multicultural company.
- Proactive and hands on mindset, committed to delivering agreed outcomes.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Proven experience in Power BI development, including semantic models, data queries, and enterprise reporting.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and DAX.
- Experience working with operational and manufacturing databases.
- Practical experience with SAP ECC, ideally across PP, MM, QM, and SD modules.
Additionally, it’s an advantage if you have
- Experience with Python or other programming languages used in analytics or automation.
- Familiarity with ETL tools, data pipelines, and orchestration frameworks.
- Working knowledge of DBT.
- Understanding of continuous improvement and development frameworks such as Lean, Kaizen, DevOps, and Agile.
