Packaging Specialist

We are looking for a Packaging Specialist, R&D Packaging team for a fixed-term 12-month contract. As a Packaging Specialist, you will play a key role in the R&D Packaging team by driving packaging development initiatives. You will manage assigned packaging projects, ensuring alignment with cosmetic regulations and GMP standards, and collaborate closely with both internal teams and external partners to deliver optimal solutions. This role is based in Espoo.
Key responsibilities
- Manage packaging development projects for designated cosmetic products, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal quality standards.
- Develop and maintain detailed packaging specifications that meet marketing objectives, sustainability goals, and production requirements.
- Manage SAP data of products for production.
- Resolving packaging issues related to filling lines and compatibility.
- Facilitate effective communication and teamwork across multiple functions, including R&D, marketing, production, sourcing, and external suppliers, to ensure project success.
What you need to succeed
- Technical degree (or near completion) in a relevant field, such as materials or manufacturing engineering.
- Working experience with packaging materials and familiarity with PPWR.
- Ability to manage several parallel projects, strong communication skills and curiosity to learn about new technologies.
- Capability to take ownership of tasks and to ensure they are completed on time and with a high level of accuracy.
- Comfortable building practical Excel solutions and improving processes.
- Full professional proficiency in English; Finnish is an advantage.
- Familiarity with SAP is a plus.
