Principal Lecturer for Master Level Program of Managing Digital Transformation in the Health Sector (ManagiDiTH)

We are hiring a Principal Lecturer for the Managing Digital Transformation in the Health Sector (ManagiDiTH) Program (Master level Degree). 

Managing Digital Transformation in the Health Sector, ManagiDiTH, is a new Master level program with a focus on teaching digital skills for those operating in the health and social care sector. The international program draws upon innovative and interdisciplinary pedagogical and digital competencies developed and delivered in cooperation with three European universities (Aristotelio Panepistimio Thessalonikis, Greece, Universite Gustavé Eiffel, France, and Instituto Unversitário de Lisboa, Portugal), a research center, and partnering healthcare and technology organizations.

The program provides the students with knowledge on and practical skills in Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Analytics, Digital Transformation, Advanced Computing, Data Infrastructures. In addition, it equips the students with the most in-demand skills in E-health, Health Resources, Health Services, Design Thinking, Co-Creation, Project Management, and Ethics to tackle complex healthcare challenges ageing societies face in the Digital Era. 

The tasks the position includes concern running the Master program, coordinating partner relationships, strengthening and integrating teaching, research and development (R&D), teaching courses, and supervising Master theses. 

Applicants must hold a suitable Doctoral degree (e.g., in Information Systems or Healthcare) or equivalent qualification and more than three years of professional work experience in a relevant field. Also, being successful in the position requires excellent development and research abilities and effective online and offline teaching skills and pedagogical competencies. Strong teamwork skills, task coordination skills, IT skills, communication and interaction skills, fluency in English language, work experience in cross-disciplinary international higher education and R&D funding are preferred. 

The eligibility requirements for the position are in accordance with the Decree on University of Applied Sciences (A1129/18.12.2014) and terms of Laurea. In addition, a minimum of 35 credits or 60 ECTS credits of pedagogical studies, which can be completed within three years upon employment, are required. Your workplace is located either on the Tikkurila (Vantaa) or Leppävaara (Espoo) campus. The terms and conditions of the employment are in accordance with the collective agreement of the private teaching sector. The employment relationship will be valid until further notice and has a six-month trial period. The employment relationships will start on August 1, 2023 or as agreed.
