Are you a motivated, detail‑oriented procurement professional who loves solving problems, improving processes, and owning your area of expertise? Amer Sports GBS is looking for a Procurement Expert - Ariba support to take a key role in managing, supporting, and continuously improving our procurement systems—especially for our North American entities.

In this dynamic position, you’ll be the go‑to specialist for SAP Ariba (with a strong focus on the Buying module), enabling smooth and effective Procure‑to‑Pay operations across the organization. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across time zones, which is why this role requires working four days per week in a later shift (approx. 14:00–22:00).

What you will be doing:

Become the system and process advocate

• Act as the primary expert for SAP Ariba Buying, supporting both users and processes across our global procurement landscape.
• Advise business stakeholders to ensure best-in-class tool usage and process adherence.

Ensure smooth operations & tool performance

• Monitor Ariba functionality, troubleshoot issues, and proactively address potential disruptions before they affect the business.
• Oversee user and role management, configuration, and data quality in the system.

Drive continuous improvement

• Propose, test, and implement new features and enhancements that elevate user experience and process efficiency.
• Promote global standardization and harmonization of P2P processes across entities.

Collaborate across teams & regions

• Work closely with tool administrators, operational procurement, and stakeholders across North America and beyond.
• Serve as a knowledge hub, providing guidance, training, and best practices.

Shape the future of procurement technology

• Contribute to the modernization of the procurement ecosystem by identifying improvement opportunities and advocating for smarter, more intuitive solutions.

What you need to succeed:

• 3–4 years of relevant procurement experience, including hands‑on work with SAP Ariba (Guided Buying, PO/GR handling, MM processes in SAP, and collaboration through the Business Network).
• Experience in user/role management, configuration, or data management in Ariba is a strong plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and a structured, analytical approach to identifying root causes.
• Fluency in English.
• Self-directed and innovative mindset. 
• Eagerness to take ownership of projects and responsibilities, driving personal and professional growth.
• Excellent communication skills for clearly conveying ideas and collaborating with various stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to approach challenges with a critical and innovative mindset.
