Production Manager, Steriking Cleanroom

Our healthcare packaging solutions help global pharmaceutical, medical and healthcare facility customers who expect a consistent and reliable worldwide supply of premium packaging materials. In Finland, Nastola site we produce Steriking®-hospital sterilization packaging in cleanroom production. 

To lead the health care packaging production towards excellence we are currently looking for 

PRODUCTION MANAGER, STERIKING CLEANROOM, WIPAK OY 

As the Production Manager of Steriking Cleanroom, you will lead the day-to-day operations of our production facility towards manufacturing excellence, ensuring that safety protocols are adhered to, and production targets are met. In addition, you are responsible for the overall budgeting and reporting in your production area. You will lead and inspire a team that consists of team supervisors and production operators, while fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement. This includes the responsibilities of both staffing and developing the competence of employees. As the Production Manager you are responsible for ensuring the quality of the products. You will lead continuous improvement projects and participate in projects regarding product quality and R&D. Cooperation with the other departments within Wipak Oy and with other Wipak companies is part of your role. In this position you will report to Production Director. You will be located to Wipak Nastola, Finland and working on-site. 

What are we looking for? 

  • Proven experience in managing production, preferably in the packaging industry. 

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. plastics or industrial engineering). 

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and empower team members. 

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving production issues. 

  • Ability to work and make decisions independently and prioritize tasks in tight schedules.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work both in Finnish and in English.

  • Proficiency in leading projects and implementing lean manufacturing principles is considered as an advantage.
