The Faculty of Law at the University of Lapland is accepting applications for a permanent position as Professor of Environmental Law or a five-year fixed-term Tenure Track position as Assistant Professor of Environmental Law.

The Faculty of Law at the University of Lapland trains one-quarter of Finland’s lawyers. Duration of employment: Start date as agreed. The position of professor will be filled for an indefinite term as agreed. In the case of the position of assistant professor, the position will be filled for a fixed term of five (5) years.
Work schedule: full-time
Probationary period: 6 months
Salary: The salary for the position is determined in accordance with the salary system for university teaching and research staff. The salary consists of a position-specific component and a component based on individual performance. For professors, the position-specific salary component falls within levels 8–11 of the job requirement classification (€5,471.95–€8,063.25/month). For associate professors, the level is 7 (€4,525.66/month), and for assistant professors, the levels are 5–6 (€3,366.36–€3,925.63/month). In addition, a performance-based salary component is paid, which is up to 50% of the position-specific salary component.
