Program Manager, Global Finance Transformation

Hybrid, New York City, NY

About us:

Amer Sports is evolving globally.  We have strong operations in North America, EMEA, APAC and greater China, and are looking to continue to execute a multi-year global transformation agenda to enable scale, consistency, and future growth. We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead a complex, cross-functional transformation, providing the structure, leadership, and change capability required to move the organization to its future state.

What you will be doing:

The PMO Lead - Global Finance Transformation, reporting to the VP, Finance Transformation with a dotted line to the VP, Global Tax and Customs, will be responsible for program managing a complex, global, multi-year transformation spanning corporate structuring, enterprise design, and cross-functional capability enablement. This role will serve as the central integrator across strategy, governance, delivery, and value realization, partnering closely with Global Tax leadership, Finance, Legal, Operations, IT, and external advisors.

This leader will drive both execution rigor and organizational change, ensuring the operating model redesign delivers sustainable outcomes across process, systems, governance, and people. Over time, the role is expected to evolve into a broader post-merger integration (PMI) leadership position supporting future inorganic growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a global, multi-year transformation program, integrating strategy, governance, delivery, and value realization across geographies and functions.
  • Lead integrated project and change management to initiatives involving end-to-end transaction flows, legal entity design, and associated financial, tax, regulatory, and operational implications.
  • Establish and run PMO governance, including integrated planning, dependency management, risk and issue resolution, executive reporting, and decision forums.
  • Partner with and lead external consulting firms as an extension of the leadership team; setting direction, holding accountability for outcomes, and ensuring delivery is tightly aligned to business priorities while building internal capability.
  • Drive enterprise transformation beyond systems enablement, with a deep understanding of operating structures, role clarity, decision rights, and capability shifts required to operate effectively in the future-state environment.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive change management and communication strategies to drive adoption of new systems, processes, and ways of working, ensuring sustained behavioral and organizational change.
  • Deliver organizational step-change by translating process and system changes into tangible people impacts, including operating rhythm, ways of working, skill requirements, and behavioral change.
  • Navigate complex stakeholder landscapes across Finance, Legal, Tax, Operations, and IT, bringing credibility, judgment, and executive presence to influence senior leaders and guide decision-making.
  • Influence with and without formal authority, aligning diverse and at times competing interests, resolving trade-offs, and driving progress in a highly matrixed, global environment.
  • Apply prior post-merger integration experience to inform current operating model design, ensuring scalability, clarity of accountability, and readiness for future inorganic growth.
  • Evolve into post-merger integration (PMI) leadership, serving as a central integrator for future acquisitions by leading integration planning, execution, and value realization.

What you need to succeed:

  • 12+ year experience leading large-scale, global, multi-year transformation programs in complex corporate environments, ideally within Tax, Finance, or adjacent corporate functions.
  • Strong and proven PMO leadership experience, including governance design, executive reporting, dependency management, and benefits realization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change at a systemic level, with deep understanding of process, systems, and people impacts.
  • Experience partnering with and managing top-tier consulting firms to deliver complex transformation outcomes.
  • Strong executive-level stakeholder management and influence skills, including the ability to drive outcomes without direct authority.
  • Prior post-merger integration experience strongly preferred, with the ability to scale operating models for growth.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and executive engagement skills
  • Ability to work both on tactical and strategic levels and drive change in a fast-paced environment

This role will work a flexible hybrid model based in our New York City Office, located in the Flatiron District.
