Doctoral Researcher or Project Researcher in Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry
We are looking for a Doctoral Researcher or a Project Researcher in the field of radiopharmaceutical chemistry at Turku PET Centre for time period 1.9.2025 – 31.8.2029. The position can be filled for a Doctoral Researcher or Project Researcher according to the background of the applicant.
Job description
The Doctoral Researcher or Project Researcher will work in the field of radiopharmaceutical chemistry in a Research Council of Finland funded project “Development of novel pretargeted PET radiopharmaceuticals for theranostic applications”. In this project, we use state-of-the-art methods in organic synthetic chemistry, PET radiochemistry and preclinical evaluation for development of new radiopharmaceuticals for applications in theranostics.
Who we are looking for
Eligibility requirement for the position is master’s degree from suitable area (radiochemistry, organic chemistry, pharmacy or biosciences) and fluent English language skill. Experience in organic synthesis, radiosynthesis and using analytical chemistry methods is an advantage.
A Doctoral Researcher must have a study right in the Turku University Doctoral Programme, otherwise the title of a Project Researcher is used. To be eligible for the post of Project Researcher, candidates must have a Master's degree by the closing date for applications.

Salary and trial period
The salary is determined in accordance with the University salary system for teaching and research personnel. The salary will be based on demand levels 2-4, where the task-specific salary component is 2 281,48-2 844,66 euros per month. In addition, a personal work performance component will be paid.
A six (6) month trial period applies to the position.
