We are looking for a Trainee to join our Purchasing team in Tampere. In this role, you will work within a team of six Buyers and play a key part in ensuring smooth purchasing processes over the summer for our production needs. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow your expertise in operative purchasing and supply chain operations. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and suppliers, ensuring materials and components are available when needed.

As a Purchasing Trainee you'll be working with:

• Purchasing components and materials for production and R&D purposes, ensuring timely availability.
• Operative purchasing from selected suppliers to meet production requirements.
• Optimizing inventory levels to maintain balance between cost efficiency and material readiness.
• Communicating actively with suppliers and resolving any issues.
• Contributing and learning about the development of purchasing processes.

We are looking for:

• Relevant ongoing studies in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Prior experience (e.g., summer jobs) related to purchasing operations and/or supply chain is considered an advantage.
• A proactive 'self-starter' attitude with a 'get it done' mentality.
• High motivation and capability to learn and grow.
• Ability to work in a dynamic work environment with multitasking abilities - you can adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
• Precision, flexibility, and good collaboration and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in both Finnish and English to interact with various stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Excel. Knowledge of ERP systems and procurement software is a plus.

Practicalities:

This is a fixed-term Trainee position from the beginning of May until the end of August 2026. The position is located at our headquarters in Tampere. We value in-person collaboration and therefore active readiness to work at HQ in Tampere is required. The compensation for the role is based on our trainee salary, which ranges from €2250 to €2800 per month. The final compensation depends on achieved study credits.
