We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic R&D Engineer Trainee to join our world-class engineering team for the summer of 2026. R&D Engineers are an essential part of Framery's product development: the team is the one creating new products and updating the existing ones alongside other experts.

The Product Development team is part of the Product function consisting of approx. 40 employees. The team is responsible for everything related to Framery's world-class products. As a team, we are very devoted to our work and have fun doing it.
As an R&D Engineer Trainee, you will be working with
our whole R&D team, assisting in various assignments. Daily job duties are wide-ranging tasks in the projects, even owning a mechanical design task. We have several ongoing projects in different phases of the project lifecycle.
tasks that may vary from concepting new technologies to finalizing some details in the product design or creating documents to support other functions.
3D modeling, 2D drawings, prototyping, and brainstorming with the engineering team
projects with your own area of responsibility.
We Are Looking for
a passionate attitude toward product design and engineering, as this is essential.
a candidate with suitable technical education or ongoing studies (M.Sc. or B.Sc.) in mechanical engineering and/or product development (3rd, 4th or 5th year student).
some experience in mechanical design.
fluent skills in English, with Finnish language skills considered an advantage.
fluent use of SolidWorks (or similar), which is seen as an advantage.
a proactive self-starter attitude with a “get it done” mentality.
ability to adapt to a changing work environment and varying daily tasks.

Practicalities
This is a full-time and fixed-term position from May to the end of August 2026. We hope you can start on May 4th, but the exact dates can be agreed on together to suit the needs of both parties best. Please tell us in your application when you would be able to start.
The position is located in Tampere and we work with a hybrid model - therefore a readiness to visit The Factory (Framery HQ) actively to work with the team and meet colleagues is required at least 3 days per week.
The compensation for the role is based on our trainee salary, which ranges from 2250€ to €2800 per month for a full-time contract. The final compensation depends on achieved study credits.
