We’re looking for Record to Report Team Lead (Journal entries & reporting) for Amer Sports’ office in Kraków.

What you will be doing

• Statutory Accounting & Compliance: Coordinate statutory accounting activities for assigned legal entities, ensure compliance with local GAAP, accounting and tax regulations, SOX requirements, internal controls, and corporate policies, and monitor regulatory changes.
• Financial Reporting & Closing: Support the preparation and review of statutory financial statements, statutory reports, surveys, and regulatory filings; perform closing tasks according to the Group schedule; and prepare accounting reconciliations and required analyses.
• Stakeholder Management & Audits: Act as a key contact for local Finance teams, external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities; support internal and external audits with documentation and processes.
• Team Coordination & Development: Guide other RtR team members, share knowledge and experience, support workload planning and task allocation, ensure daily operations and month-end closing activities meet targets and deadlines, and continue to increase process knowledge within the team.
• Process Improvement & Business Support: Identify improvement opportunities, participate in projects aimed at continuous improvement, support process design, implementation, and updates, analyze reports to provide insights for data-driven decision-making, communicate issues and roadblocks to the Manager, and proactively work with management to enhance process efficiency.

What you need to succeed

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Experience:

• Over 5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting.
• 2 years of experience in a supervisory position.
• Experience supporting statutory audits and cooperating with external auditors..

Language:

• Very good command of English.
• German language skills would be an asset.

Technical Skills:

• Extensive knowledge of RtR processes.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, techniques, and systems.
• Understanding of financial statement preparation, provisions, and distribution processes.
• Proficiency in SAP and Excel, with a willingness to further develop expertise in these systems.
• Ability to interpret and analyze complex statistical data.
• Knowledge of BlackLine, OneStream, and Kyriba would be an asset.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
