The Role

If you apply and are successful in being appointed to this position, you will join us at an exciting time. With fantastic growth in recent years, we are working to ensure that this growth can continue for many years. The purpose of this position is to drive and manage the growth of bake enzymes sales within the EMEA region.

You will be responsible for:

Strategy Development and Execution

  • You implement global business unit strategies within the region
  • You adapt, develop and implement strategies for regional markets
  • You develop and manage the regional budget for the business unit
  • You analyze regional market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth 
  • You provide insights and recommendations to the product portfolio and marketing teams for portfolio optimization, new product development and pipeline management
  • You prepare regular reports on regional business performance, including sales, market trends, and financial results
  • You foster strong relationships with key customers and other stakeholders in the region
  • You ensure compliance with regional regulations, industry standards, and company policies
  • You identify and mitigate risks associated with regional business operations

Team & Sales Management 

  • You lead, coach and drive sales and technical services team in the region
  • You take the full accountability of the financial performance, including sales revenue, costs, and profitability
  • You create and execute business plans to achieve sales targets, market share, and profitability goals
  • You set clear sales targets and KPI’s and monitor performance against these metrics
  • You ensure effective sales processes and practices are in place, including the use of customer relationship management (CRM) systems

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • You collaborate with regional functional leads (Regulatory Affairs, Finance, Customer Service, Supply Chain) to ensure seamless execution of strategies
  • You work closely with the Global functions(Product & Portfolio Management, Marketing Management, Application Development and MarCom) to align regional initiatives with global strategies
  • You participate in cross-functional teams to drive regional projects and initiatives

About You

We are looking for a customer-focused outgoing individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You are a team player and you have proven technical project management skills. Furthermore:

  • Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in a business management role, ideally withing Baking enzymes, formulations and added value ingredients industry
  • Proven track record of successful sales management and business growth
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute strategic plans that drive business growth
  • Leadership: A strong track record of leadership with the ability to inspire and motivate a regional team
  • Sales Acumen: Deep understanding of sales processes, customer relationship management, and market dynamics
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing market data, financial reports, and performance metrics
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex information clearly
  • Collaboration: Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and make informed decisions
  • Customer Focus: Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and building long-term relationships
  • Financial Management: Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management
  • Resilience: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Flexible and open to change; able to navigate complexity and ambiguity
  • Focused on achieving results and driving continuous improvement
  • Understanding and appreciation of regional cultural differences and practices
