We are now looking for Research Scientist / Senior Scientist, MEMS process integration to join us

MEMS team is developing several types of MEMS components that enable especially the next generation radio and telecommunication systems (6G) and digitalization of health care and quantum computing  etc. We are a multi-national group of experts.

Your responsibilities as a Research Scientist/Senior Scientist: 

• Developing novel MEMS processes with our other process development experts.
• Tackling challenges in introducing g new materials and processing      methods
• Process integration for process flows to realize novel MEMS components together with device designers.
• Characterization of the processes and process results.
• Identifying and solving the key issues within your domain of expertise.
• Communicating and solving those issues in tight collaboration with others at VTT.
• Communicating and solving problems with external partners. 

Who we are looking for:

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Micro- and Nanotechnologies, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 
• Strong cleanroom experience.
• Process integration experience.
• Deep expertise with one ore more of the following process areas: deposition, lithography, etching, back end processe etc.
• Strong knowledge in materials of microelectronics
• Skills in process and materials characterisation

Ideally, your background includes the following

• Several years of experience in research and development of MEMS fabrication processes beyond indivdual process steps and running established process flows
• Experience in process tool acquistion and ramp up
• Participation in national/ international cooperation projects.
