The Faculty of Art and Design of the University of Lapland is applying for part-time Researcher (50%) for Digital Solutions Inclusive Leadership and Employee Centricity in Hybrid Work - DILEC -project for a period 1.9.2025-31.3.2028 (31 months).

The position of Researcher in the Service design business project, named Digital Solutions Inclusive Leadership and Employee Centricity in Hybrid Work – DILEC, is located within the Faculty of Art and Design. Service design plays a crucial role in building more empathic and healthier workplaces. The Researcher will investigate the roles of AI and digital transformation in Finnish workplaces with industry partners and international institutions.

Your duties include

• conducting collaborative academic research with business and international partners
• organizing workshops and interviews with Finnish companies and asking to deliver informative seminars in various locations in Finland
• analyzing various data creatively using qualitative and quantitative approaches to find meaningful insights for developing AI solutions
• reporting the collected data analytically to the project manager is also necessary
• actively leading publications of academic articles, including conference presentations, journal papers and book chapters.

The Researcher conducts business-academic collaboration research. The person must collaborate closely with Finnish industry partners to understand their organizational and individual challenges and needs for digital transformation. Particularly, the University of Lapland's work packages focus on companies' effective use of AI in the most demanding tasks at work. Depending on the company's needs, the Researcher must collaborate with Laurea University of Applied Sciences and Lapland University of Applied Sciences to develop sophisticated AI solutions. The developed AI solutions will be benchmarked in Japan.

Salary: The salary is based on the Salary System of Finnish Universities, the chart for teaching and research personnel on level 4, when the task-specific salary is 2844,66 € / month, In addition the salary components up to 50 % based on personal performance is paid. Starting salary of 50 % work is about 1649,90-1692,50 € / month.
