Safari Elf, Santa Claus Safaris, Rovaniemi
Lapland Staff is looking for Safari Elves for the winter season – A unique role next door to Santa Claus Office in Santa Claus Village, Rovaniemi, Lapland.
Do you believe in Christmas magic? Do you have an adventurous spirit, a love for nature, and a twinkle in your eye?
We are looking for enthusiastic, story-loving, and adventure-ready individuals to join our world as Safari Elf – a brand-new role that combines the skills of a safari guide with the heart and soul of Santa’s Elf.
To be a great Safari Elf, we expect you to be accustomed to being outdoors regardless of the weather and to maintain a positive attitude even on long and busy days. Your workdays are rarely the same, and a working day can consist of one or several different tasks, and a lot of work is also done in the evening. Changes to your daily tasks may come with short notice.
In addition to outdoor work, variation to your days comes from indoor clothing maintenance and sales work - and elfing of course! You’ll also drive guests to and from activities by car.
Our guests come from every corner of the world — alone, with family and friends, or in large or small groups. The Safari Elf is ready to teach anyone the secrets of elfing, so there’s no age limit for the activities. Everyone is welcome, from the tiniest toddlers to the wisest grandparents!
As a Safari Elf, you will:
- Live a life of an Elf – tell enchanting stories, spark imaginations, and create unforgettable moments for guests of all ages
- Set the scene for magical experiences, from cozy campfires in the forest to snowmobile trails under the northern lights
- Guide snowmobile safaris, snowshoe treks, and other winter adventures through the breathtaking nature of Lapland
- Introduce guests to Santa’s trusted huskies and reindeer
- Work outdoors in a Christmas-themed activity area, welcoming and guiding visitors
- Represent the spirit of kindness, curiosity, and courage – just like every real Elf should
We expect from you:
- Be an elf at heart! Creative, playful, and ready to step into the world of fairytales and dreams
- Have experience or interest in guiding, outdoor activities, performing, or customer service
- B - Driving license
- Speak good English – other languages are a plus
- Have a cheerful, positive attitude
- Comfortable working outdoors in winter conditions – and having fun while doing it
- A playful, creative mindset – the kind that can make a snowflake feel magical
We offer you:
- A one-of-a-kind job – a combination of safari guiding and working as an Elf
- Chance to be a part of something truly unique and meaningful
- Training in both elf performance and safari guiding
- A cheerful, supportive work community
- An easy path to start working in Lapland – we’ll help you get onto the elf trail
- Comprehensive staff benefits of Lapland Hotels & Lapland Safaris. You will receive benefits for example from equipment rental, restaurants and Lapland Ski Resorts lift tickets.
Every Safari Elf receives thorough training from Santa Claus Safaris, where you will learn:
- How to bring the elf spirit to life and make every guest feel part of the story
- How to be a trusted guide – combining excitement with safety at every step
- How to bring the stories of Lapland to life with a touch of elf magic
Our training is built on knowledge, skill, and safety, and is conducted in English. You will also receive role-specific training to prepare you fully – both as a guide and as an Elf – before stepping into your first adventure.
