About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Revenue: Meet and exceed annual sales targets for MES software licenses, SaaS subscriptions, and implementation services.
- Lead Generation: Identify and qualify new business opportunities within target manufacturing verticals like semiconductors, electronics or automotive.
- Account Management: Manage relationships with existing key accounts to secure software renewals, system upgrades, and expansions.
- Value-Based Selling: Conduct discovery sessions to understand client operational bottlenecks and present software solutions as high-ROI business investments.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate sales forecasting, track deal stages, and negotiate complex enterprise software contracts.
Core Requirements
- Industry Experience: 5 to 10+ years of successful B2B technical sales experience, specifically selling enterprise industrial software or automation solutions.
- Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of Smart Manufacturing, Industry 4.0 concepts, ISA-95 standards, and how MES integrates with ERP and shop-floor PLC/SCADA systems.
- Vertical Expertise: Proven track record selling into regional manufacturing hubs (e.g., semiconductor, electronics in Penang).
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to deliver technical presentations to engineers while effectively pitching financial ROI to C-level executives (CIOs, COOs).
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics), Computer Science, or a related business field.
- Mobility: Flexibility to travel frequently to manufacturing facilities and industrial zones for on-site client assessments.
