Hybrid / Garching near Munich 

As an SAP GRC Inhouse Consultant, you will be responsible for the operation, continuous improvement and strategic development of our centrally managed global SAP Governance, Risk & Compliance solutions. You ensure that access governance, internal controls and compliance requirements are implemented in a business‑oriented, efficient and audit‑proof manner across our SAP landscape.
You will work closely with IT colleagues, business stakeholders, Internal Audit, Risk & Control Management, and external partners in a truly international environment.

What you will be doing:

SAP GRC

• Own the SAP GRC solution, primarily Access Control
• Ensure stable application in collaboration with our operations team including incident, problem and change management
• Drive continuous improvement of the GRC solution in line with regulatory requirements and business needs
• Coordinate releases, upgrades and patches together with SAP Basis
• Be part in our S/4 Hana implementation project

Access & Identity Governance

• Design, maintain and further develop SAP role and authorization concepts
• Define and maintain Segregation of Duties (SoD) rules, risk analyses and mitigation controls in close collaboration with Risk & Control Management
• Support and govern User Access Reviews, Firefighter / Emergency Access, and critical access processes
• Advise business and IT stakeholders on role‑based access design and best practices

Compliance, Risk & Internal Controls

• Support internal and external compliance requirements (e.g. Internal Control System, audit readiness)
• Maintain and optimize controls, workflows and reporting within SAP GRC
• Act as a key contact for Internal Audit during audits and reviews
• Analyze risks and derive appropriate technical and procedural measures

Consulting & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as a trusted advisor for business functions, IT and management on GRC‑related topics
• Translate regulatory and business requirements into sustainable SAP solutions
• Coordinate and steer external consultants and service providers

What you need to succeed:

• 5+ years of experience in the SAP environment with a strong focus on SAP GRC, authorizations or Identity & Access Management
• Proven hands‑on experience with SAP GRC Access Control (SoD, ARA, EAM / Firefighter, UAR)
• Experience in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA system landscapes
• Good understanding of compliance, audit and internal control frameworks
• Experience working with Internal Audit or Compliance teams
• Expertise in implementing SAP IAG for cloud solutions is a plus
• Strong analytical and structured way of working
• Confident communication and consulting skills
• Ability to explain complex topics in a clear and pragmatic way
• Self‑driven, solution‑oriented mindset in an international setup
• Self-directed and innovative mindset. 
• Fluent English (German is a plus)
