Are you interested in working on the leading financial management product in Finland? Netvisor is looking for an ambitious Data Engineer to build a greenfield data platform.
Netvisor SaaS-products already serve over 30 000 businesses in Finland; over 1 million invoices are sent and 135 000 payslips are created monthly. Visma Solutions Oy is also a unicorn company with a revenue of 104M € in 2022.
Who are we looking for?
You have experience building ETL pipelines and applying modern data modelling techniques. You are proactive, collaborative and an excellent problem solver. You value teamwork but can take ownership and contribute independently, when necessary.
Our working language is English, and we expect good communication skills in both written and spoken English. Finnish skills are not mandatory, but they may help when you come across some of our existing data.
What do we expect from you
- You understand some of the various data modelling methods and when to use them: e.g. Data Vault, Star Schema, One Big Table, 3NF
- You are familiar with different data warehouse architecture methodologies e.g. Kimball, Inmon.
- You are familiar with the concept of a data mesh.
- You have experience in building data lakes and data warehouses using at least some of the following: RedShift, BigQuery, Azure Synapse, Teradata, Snowflake.
- You are familiar with at least one relevant programming language, e.g. Python, Java, Scala, Go as well as SQL.
- You are familiar with building modern streaming pipelines using technologies, e.g. Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, Apache Beam, and AWS Kinesis.
- You are familiar with the concept of Data Warehouse Automation and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) tools e.g. Fivetran, SQLake, dbt, dbtvault.

The salary and title will be negotiated and based on the experience and skills of the chosen candidate. The position is based in Finland, unfortunately we can not provide support for relocation. You can work at our office in Helsinki (Tripla), Lappeenranta or Lahti, other Visma offices or remotely in Finland. Most of our employees work in a hybrid model where they combine office and remote work.
