Senior Product Portfolio Manager
Are you an experienced product leader with a sharp commercial instinct, a passion for physical premium products, and a knack for navigating complex market ecosystems? Do you want to work in an international growth environment where you can take ownership of an entire product portfolio and truly drive macro-level impact?
We are looking for a Senior Product Portfolio Manager to join our Product Management team at Framery in Tampere!
In this role, you won’t just be managing individual product backlogs – you will shape, optimize, and drive the strategic and commercial success of Framery’s overall global product portfolio. Your mission is to look beyond single product features to manage our entire product ecosystem. You will balance investments across existing product lines, define strategic roadmaps, and establish frameworks that maximize total portfolio profitability, market coverage, and long-term innovation in connected smart pods and workspace solutions.
You will report directly to our Product Director, and work closely with our R&D, Sales, Marketing, and executive leadership.
Your Key Focus Areas:
Portfolio Strategy & Architecture: Define long-term product line positioning, roadmaps, and ecosystems to optimize global market coverage and drive gross margins.
Investment & Resource Allocation: Build compelling business cases to guide where R&D capital and engineering resources should be deployed across core, adjacent, and transformational product lines.
Product Ecosystem Leadership: Drive the integration of physical design, hardware, and smart software features into a cohesive, market-leading workspace portfolio.
Design & PM Excellence: Maintain a design-first mindset, championing functional elegance, premium aesthetics, and best-in-class product management frameworks from concept through end-of-life.
Go-To-Market & Commercial Strategy: Partner closely with Marketing to define value propositions, target positioning, pricing, and execution plans for seamless global product launches.
Lifecycle & Sunset Governance: Oversee end-to-end portfolio health, including strategic new product rollouts, continuous enhancements, and legacy product deprecation (EOL) strategies.
Cross-Functional Influence & Mentorship: Act as a strategic bridge between Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing. Provide functional guidance and mentorship to Product Managers and Product Engineers.
What Makes You a Great Fit?
You are a ready-to-deliver professional—established expert—who combines natural authority with intellectual humility. You naturally ask "Why?" and dig deep for facts behind opinions. You hold strong product views, but remain humble, objective, and ready to pivot based on data rather than personal preferences. You have an analytical mindset and the ability to comfortably navigate and influence cross-functional executives and strong personalities without relying on direct hierarchy.
We hope to see:
Progressive experience in product management, with significant experience managing multi-product portfolios, complex product lines, or platform architectures.
Background in global physical products, premium design, consumer electronics, or smart hardware ecosystems
Design state of mind, deep intuition and respect for exceptional product design, ergonomics, and high-craftsmanship user experiences.
Strong financial acumen, including capability in financial modeling, aggregate P&L optimization, and ROI evaluation across product categories.
Fluent communication skills in English (spoken and written). Finnish language skills are considered an advantage.
An applicable degree (e.g., Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Business, Design, or equivalent).
