How do we work?
Our success story is based on agile ways of working and an entrepreneurial mindset. Our teams and developers have a crucial role in modernizing our product and they have freedom and responsibility to make decisions in their daily work in software development. Besides our products, we invest heavily in learning - so we want you to allocate 10% of your working hours in learning new technologies or other things relevant to your growth in your role.
At Visma Solutions, we have around 150 developers working with five different products. Netvisor is developed by 90 people with various roles and backgrounds. Our shared goal is defined in our product strategy that guides our way forward. We work in a hybrid or remote mode, since some of our people want to work from the office when some like it better at home. Our official working language is English.
Our techstack includes C#, .NET 6, ASP.NET, SQL, React.js, TypeScript, Public Cloud (AWS, GCP), Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes. You would also come across DevOps, Domain Driven Design, Event Driven Architecture & Microservices in your daily work. Some of our teams develop cool new stuff, some renew and modernize our product.
Our Senior Developers are actively mentoring other team members and participate in cooperation between teams. Besides their profound experience in software development, our Senior Developers share a continuous improvement mindset, keeping up-to-date with the industry trends and technologies. Participation in events, publishing white papers or articles / blogs and being a thought leader of their field of expertise is also supported and encouraged.

You will set targets for learning and we will support you in reaching them. Our developers e.g. go to Pluralsight or Udemy, complete AWS certifications, exercise pair coding, take language courses, learn a new coding language or visit seminars and so on. You can decide how you invest your time in learning.

We currently have 12 product development teams in Netvisor doing everything between front and back end, building new and modernising the legacy. In general, as a senior developer we expect you to have minimum five years of experience in software development / coding. Previous experience in working with C# and/or Java or React.js/Typescript is considered an advantage, but rather than looking for a specific skill set we value good knowledge in coding, eagerness to learn and drive for solving challenges. Sense of humour is also appreciated.
