Senior Software Engineer
Location: Oulu, Helsinki, remote or hybrid
We are looking for an experienced software engineer specialising in Java.
As a part of our team you will build software solutions that meet real customer needs. We expect that you can take responsibility and are a self-motivated professional with a cooperative mindset. The role can be in-office, hybrid or remote (in Finland), but we require that you can occasionally participate in workshops at our Oulu office.
You will work in close collaboration with our infrastructure and security team in designing and developing improvements to core parts of our backend. As a part of the team you will be responsible for collaborating with feature teams to understand developer needs and requirements for our shared services. Depending on your interests and area of expertise, your role will develop either into internal tooling and supporting infrastructure or into billing and integrations.
Working as part of an international development team, English language skills are a must, although Finnish skills are useful and seen as an advantage.

What we are looking for
- Experience in API and software design
- Ability to write clear, maintainable and documented code
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL/MariaDB
- English
- Finnish
- Multiple years of experience in backend development
- Experience in continuous integration / automated testing
- Experience of working with agile methodologies
- Knowledge of billing and related technologies (SOAP, JAX-WS)
- Knowledge of other programming languages (Python, JavaScript, Bash)
