At Finago, we’re building a shared, modern product platform for finance, payroll, and HR used by customers across the Nordics. To support our continued growth, we’re now looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join one of our autonomous product teams. 

Your mission 🚀 

As a Senior Software Engineer at Finago, you will be a key contributor in a product team with full responsibility for its part of the solution – from idea and development to production and operations. You’ll work closely with your teammates to build reliable, scalable systems that customers depend on every day. 

We have offices in Skien and Oslo.

💡 Your key tasks and responsibilities include: 

• Developing robust, scalable backend services and APIs 

• Contributing to technical design decisions and architectural discussions within the team 

• Writing high-quality code with strong test coverage and a focus on security 

• Actively participating in code reviews and technical discussions 

• Collaborating closely with the Tech Lead, Product Manager, Design, and QA 

• Continuously improving development processes, tools, and workflows

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys taking responsibility and thinking beyond individual tasks. To succeed in this role, we believe you: 

• Have several years of experience as a software engineer, with strong backend expertise 

• Enjoy understanding how systems fit together, not just solving isolated tickets 

• Take ownership of quality, stability, and long-term maintainability 

• Share knowledge, give constructive feedback, and contribute positively to the team 

• Are comfortable working in both Norwegian and English

Depending on the product, you’ll work with technologies such as: 

• TypeScript / Node.js, C# .NET, Go 

• Relational databases and NoSQL 

• Microservices and distributed systems 

• Kubernetes, CI/CD, and modern DevOps tooling 

• Cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
