We are now looking for a Service Owner/Developer to join our Quantum algorithms and software team, Espoo

The VTT quantum service owner/developer will be responsible for technical development, overall management, maintenance and lifetime of the VTT Quantum computing service. Your role will encompass both strategic oversight and hands-on software development to ensure our quantum computing services meet customer needs and align with organizational goals. You will communicate with key stakeholders across the organization to design the architecture and roadmap.  

Key Responsibilities  

• Take ownership of VTT's quantum computing service and feature planning together with stakeholders 
• Manage the service lifecycle, including planning, development, deployment, and continuous improvement
• Communicate with end users, gather customer feedback and help guide the direction of the technical development.  
• Contribute to a software framework to enable external users and VTTs customers to access and run on VTT’s quantum computers
• Monitor service performance and implement necessary changes to improve quality and customer satisfaction.
• Design, code, test, and maintain software applications
• Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing software applications
• Collaborate with other developers, designers, and stakeholders to create high-quality software solutions. 
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve skills and the software developed 

 What we’re looking for 

• Strong communication skills for collaborating with designers via tools like Figma, ensuring seamless UI/UX integration with backend services. 
• Experience in fullstack development using Python, React, PostgresDB, and Docker to build scalable web applications.
• Experience working with cloud environments such as Azure for deploying, scaling, and managing applications. 
• Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, including tools like Keycloak and OpenID Connect (OIDC), to manage secure authentication and authorization processes. 
• Ability to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for software testing and deployment automation. 
• Interest in and knowledge of the quantum computing  field, with the desire to explore its intersection with software development.
