Site Reliability Engineer (Romania)
At Polystar | Elisa Industriq we are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer who is ready to take ownership - not just of their tasks but also to contribute to the team as a whole.
About the Role
We're looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our Services team. You'll be responsible for deploying and maintaining production systems across hybrid environments (on-premises and Google Cloud Platform), while serving as an internal expert on containerization technologies.
What You'll Do
- Design, deploy, and maintain production deployments across on-prem and Google Cloud Platform environments
- Own the reliability, scalability, and performance of our software stack
- Provide L3/expert-level support on containerization matters across the organization
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated, repeatable deployments
- Develop tooling and automation to reduce toil and improve operational efficiency
- Participate in incident response and conduct blameless post-mortems
- Collaborate with development teams to improve service reliability and observability
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience with Kubernetes (deployment, troubleshooting, cluster management)
- Solid Linux administration skills
- Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, container runtimes, image optimization)
- Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform services
- Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform
- CI/CD pipeline development with Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions
- Go and/or Python programming skills
- Understanding of network fundamentals, monitoring, and logging
Nice to Have
- Experience with service mesh technologies (Linkerd, Istio)
- Familiarity with GitOps workflows (FluxCD, ArgoCD)
- Database administration experience (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
- Helm chart development
