What you will be doing:

Software Asset Governance

  • Establish and maintain Software Asset Management (SAM) policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Ensure alignment with IT Operations, Procurement, Cybersecurity, and compliance requirements.
  • Support internal and external software audits.

License Compliance & Risk Management

  • Interpret complex software licensing agreements and usage rights.
  • Conduct compliance assessments and remediate licensing risks.
  • Manage vendor audit preparation and coordinate audit activities

Software Inventory & Lifecycle Management

  • Maintain an accurate software inventory across endpoints, servers, cloud platforms, and virtual environments.
  • Govern software request, approval, deployment, renewal, and retirement processes.
  • Assess licensing implications of infrastructure and application changes. 

Cost Optimization & Financial Management

  • Analyze software utilization and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Develop recommendations for renewals, purchases, and license consolidation.
  • Produce cost analyses, renewal forecasts, and optimization reports to support business decisions. 

Tooling & Automation

  • Act as Product Owner for Software Asset Management platforms.
  • Drive automation initiatives related to software discovery, usage tracking, and compliance reporting.
  • Leverage industry-leading SAM solutions.
  • Support integration and continuous improvement of SAM tooling capabilities.

What you need to succeed:

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Software Asset Management, IT Asset Management, Licensing, IT Operations, or a related field.

    Key Skills & Competencies

    • Experience working with Software Asset Management platforms such as Flexera, ServiceNow SAM Pro, and/or Snow Software.
    • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex software licensing models, usage data, contracts, and financial information.
    • Advanced problem-solving capabilities and a data-driven approach to decision-making. 
    • Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy. 
    • Proven ability to identify optimization opportunities and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
    • Ability to communicate technical and financial insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Experience operating in multinational and cross-functional environments.
    • Self-driven, highly organized, and comfortable working in an evolving environment where processes and structures are still being established. 
    • Fluent English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Polish, German, or French is an advantage.

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or equivalent professional experience. 

    Preferred Certifications

    • Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM)
    • ISO 19770 certifications
    • ITIL Foundation or IT Asset Management certifications
