We are looking for a Software Developer with a product development mindset

About the job

As a Software Developer your role will be a part of a dedicated and well-working agile development team providing data for Elisa Viihde applications. Our Elisa Viihde R&D team is transitioning from on-premises to cloud services, maintaining existing solutions, and developing next-generation AI capabilities. Daily tasks involve metadata management and data migration, using modern tools and DevOps practices.

What we expect from you

• A strong will to be an active and supportive member of a dedicated team, and to succeed together with the team making the service best it can be
• Few years of relevant experience and strong programming skills in modern software development (DevOps, Test Driven, Agile, clean code)
• Experience in working with wide range of technologies and tools and ability to learn new things when needed, e.g.
  • API and service building with Java, Node.js, Go
  • Running and operating services on Kubernetes and cloud serverless services
  • ETL with JSON, SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Automating every boring developer chore, e.g. CI/CD pipelines on GitHub Actions
• Proven experience of developing on cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud
• Professional fluency in English and Finnish
• Suitable degree in technology

Additional advantages for the job

• Practical experience through project(s) in backend and product feature development, with a focus on building reliable, scalable systems is seen as advantage
• Utilizing AI efficiently in software development
• Google BigQuery or MongoDB experience
• Interest in TV and entertainment services, and/or experience in developing solutions for TV and entertainment services!
