Software Developer (with growth path toward Team Lead)

We’re looking for a Software Developer to join our IT team. You’ll get to work with experienced professionals, modern technologies, and a wide variety of projects. If you’re eager to grow — both as a developer and as a future team lead — this is your chance.
This is a full-time position where you’ll work as part of a small and agile development team.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with the development team on ongoing projects
- Write, test, and maintain high-quality code
- Learn and apply software development best practices
- Conduct end-user testing and gather feedback
- Explore new technologies and contribute ideas
- Understand business processes and development workflows
- Gradually take on more responsibility, with the goal of stepping into a Team Lead role
Who we are looking for
- 3–5 years of coding experience (preferably full-stack)
- Interest or experience in team leadership
- Experience with some of the following is preferred:
- Java (Spring Boot, Hibernate)
- PHP (Laravel)
- Rust
- JavaScript and frontend tools (SolidJS, Podium, TailwindCSS)
- Azure App services & Azure DevOps
- MariaDB, Azure SQL, Microsoft Fabric
- Workato integration platform
- React native
- Either a relevant degree or self-taught skills in software development
- A candidate with a preference to work at Jyskä offices
- Strong problem-solving ability and desire to learn
- Fluent in Finnish and English
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Considered as an advantage
- Previous experience as team lead
- References to open-source projects
