We are now looking for a Solution Sales Lead, Microelectronics and Quantum technologies
The key motivation for us is to turn our inventions to innovations through collaboration with our customers. For that role we're looking for someone with prior experience from sales from one or several fields in microelectronics and/or quantum technologies. The person we are looking for is sales driver, a team player able to help and coach our teams in creating solution proposals to our customers, as well as to coordinate and execute sales activities. You drive and coordinate business activities between the research area and a number of other sales people, but also hunt for new business opportunities by yourself, design solution proposals together with technical experts and turn leads into orders. You understand the basics of the technology fields our team covers and are eager to learn more.

As our competences are wide, we operate with various customer segments such as 5G and 6G telecom industry, quantum computing, quantum applications, industrial segments, consumer electronics, space and especially New Space, defence and security, as well as the semiconductor industry. Our global customers range from fast growing start-ups to leading international consumer electronics brands. In addition, around Micronova in Espoo, we have a strong domestic ecosystem with 20+ microelectronics companies working in the cleanroom that we jointly run with Aalto University, and which is the largest R&D semiconductor cleanroom in the Nordic countries.
The VTT office location for this position is our Micronova office in Espoo.
With us, you will be responsible for:
Driving and coordinating sales activities and building sales pipeline in the microelectronics and quantum technologies research area together with other salespersons, business development and researchers.
Ensuring continued business relationships with existing customers
Acquiring new customers and driving sales growth in the fields of microelectronics and quantum technologies
Keeping track of the sales funnel in the CRM, effectively using digital sales tools
Creating offers and contracts according to VTT’s sales guidelines, ensuring all different aspects are taken into account (pricing, deliverables, trade regulations)
Coaching our researchers on customer centricity and sales activities
Contributing to offering creation and service models together with other stakeholders
Participating in marketing action planning and execution, participating and coordinating exhibitions and events in the field of microelectronics and quantum technologies
Who we are looking for:
A demonstrated track-record of managing customer relationships, understanding customer needs and enabling our customers’ business growth
Several years of experience in a hands-on sales role in value-based and consultative solution sales, including a demonstrated ability of selling project entities and solutions that are tailored and fitted to specific customer needs
Working experience in microelectronics and/or quantum technology related customer segments. You might have previous experience from for example microelectronics, integrated photonics, RF, MEMS, space electronics application development or quantum technologies.
Industry understanding of the value chains in electronics and microelectronics is a plus.
Fluent communication skills in English, both spoken and written, are required. Other possible language skills are considered an advantage
Excellent negotiation and networking skills
Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders in a matrix organization and engaging relevant people in building winning cases
Higher level degree in a relevant field
Willingness to travel
