Laurea University of Applied Sciences is looking for a Specialist or a Senior Specialist to join the ResLab Research Group in a permanent position within Laurea’s Master School unit. ResLab’s mission is to strengthen societal resilience and design preferable futures for individuals, communities, and society at large. ResLab operates at the intersection of Laurea’s research programmes.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
For Specialist, a Master's degree is required - for Senior Specialist, a Doctoral or Licenciate's degree.
We expect strong experience and proven achievements in the following primary areas:
- Applying for competitive international research funding (especially Horizon; EDF) and developing funding application processes and tools.
- Subject matter expertise relevant to ResLab’s focus areas.
- Leading and participating in RDI projects in multidisciplinary expert teams (including excellent subordinate and peer collaboration skills).
We consider experience in the following additional areas an advantage (please open your detailed experise in the application):
- RDI collaboration with companies and contract-based industry cooperation.
- Academic publishing.
- Teaching and thesis supervision in higher education.
Additional Requirements
- Pedagogical qualification is considered an advantage.
- The employee must relocate in Finland when starting in the position (Laurea will help with with the relocation).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are required.
- A willingness to learn Finnish is expected. Finnish language skills are considered an asset.
Salary and Benefits
- Monthly salary: Specialist 3400-4700€/month, Senior Specialist 4400-5400€/month.
- Annual leave: 30 to 38 days of paid leave depending on the years of applicable work experience.

Employment terms follow the Collective Agreement for Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences, with a weekly working time of 36.25 hours. This full-time and permanent position is in Laurea’s Leppävaara campus.
