Statistical Consultant (f/m/d)

About the Role

As a Statistical Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting our product team by providing expert statistical advice, analysis, and training. Leveraging your strong expertise in statistical methodologies and data analysis, you will develop, test, execute, and evaluate analytical procedures within a C++/MATLAB-based application. The role offers an excellent opportunity to deepen your technical expertise while making a significant impact on the evolution and success of our data analysis products.

Responsibilities

  • Statistical consultation and training for product teams and customers.
  • Creating concepts for the implementation of statistical methods.
  • Contribute to the development, testing and documentation of analytical features.
  • Implement and maintain statistical algorithms and backend functionality in MATLAB.

About the Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong expertise in industrial statistical methods, data analysis, and experimental design.
  • Excellent programming skills in MATLAB.
  • Proven ability to apply statistical techniques to solve complex business and technical challenges and communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with software development practices, including testing, validation, version control, and collaborative development workflows e.g., using Git.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a structured, quality-oriented approach to work.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while contributing effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and German.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of additional programming languages, especially R, but also C++ or Python is an advantage.
  • Understanding of manufacturing and engineering workflows, ideally with experience analyzing production data.
