Structural Analyst Engineers
We are looking for Structural Analyst Engineers to strengthen our Hull and Deck Outfitting Department in our Turku / Helsinki office. You will be part of our experienced FEA team, working on challenging and interesting ship and offshore design projects.
As our FEA team operates across multiple locations (Finland, Poland, and China), strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Preparing finite element models for analysis purposes based on the design input.
- Analyzing the strength & fatigue of the structures (both in full vessel- and local models).
- Producing analysis reports based on structural analyses.
- Proposing of structural modifications for design based on the analysis results.
- Providing subject matter expertise towards the project.
- Communicating between Clients and Classification Societies when it comes down to strength and fatigue related topics.
- Participating and contributing to our inhouse development.
As an ideal candidate for this position, you have:
- Technical background / Education (M.Sc or B.Sc in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering)
- Several years of experience from structural analysis in ship and/or offshore design.
- Experience from structural design is seen as an advantage.
- Proficiency in FEMAP NX Nastran. Knowledge and experience of other structural analysis software is seen as advantage (e.g. ANSYS)
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English. The professional language in this position is English. Finnish language is seen as an advantage.
- Experience in fatigue and vibration calculations is seen as an advantage.
