We are currently looking for experienced and motivated Substation Managers to join several major wind farm construction projects in Finland.

The first assignments are expected to commence during late 2026 and early 2027, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to utility-scale renewable energy developments from construction through energization and project completion.

As a Substation Manager, you will play a key role in supervising substation and transformer construction activities on behalf of the project owner. Working closely with Site Managers, Grid Managers, contractors and key stakeholders, you will ensure that all works are executed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. 

We are recruiting for multiple Substation Manager positions as our project portfolio continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise substation and transformer construction activities on site. 
• Ensure high-quality execution of all assigned construction works. 
• Work closely with the Site Manager to achieve project milestones. 
• Monitor contractor QA/QC and HSE performance at site level.
• Follow contractor progress and performance against contractual requirements.
• Support successful project delivery and construction progress monitoring. 
• Coordinate interfaces between civil works, foundations, eBoP, substation and turbine installation activities. [
• Participate in technical reviews and contractor meetings. 
• Organize design review meetings and ensure implementation of approved solutions. [
• Support effective communication between contractors, consultants and project stakeholders. 

Requirements

Essential

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 
• Experience supervising electrical construction projects.
• Experience with substations, transformers, grid infrastructure or industrial facilities.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC and HSE requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 
• Strong planning and problem-solving capabilities.
• Fluent Finnish and English language skills. 

Considered an Advantage

• Wind farm construction experience.
• Experience with energization and commissioning activities.
• Experience working with Fingrid, TSO or DSO interfaces.
• Owner's engineer or client-side supervision experience.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy projects.
