To succeed in our growth journey, we are looking for a Sustainability Manager to lead our sustainability actions, make it a source of competitive advantage for us and ensure ongoing sustainability is integrated into the business strategy at Framery. You would help to increase Framery’s sustainability profile and utilize the opportunities. You would drive sustainability standardization of the pod industry forward, follow up on sustainability trends, do competitor sustainability analyses and establish collaboration with research organizations and universities to gain advanced sustainability insight.

As a Sustainability Manager you will be part of Framery’s Product function and its Product Management team and work closely with various internal and external stakeholders.  You will report to the Head of Products. The role will be based in our headquarters in Tampere.


As a Sustainability Manager you will:


• Take ownership on Framery's sustainability strategy, mission and vision

• Lead Framery's short, medium and long term sustainability programs, targets and KPI's

• Managing  the Sustainability steering group

• Handle Investor ESG relations and customer sustainability relations

• Follow up on sustainability legislation and standards

• Ensure supply chain, own manufacturing and suppliers meet our sustainability requirements

• Be responsible for internal sustainability communications and trainings

• Support sustainability marketing and communications e.g. managing GRI compliant sustainability report

 • Handle sustainable products and offering e.g. managing Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) projects

 • Provide Sales sustainability material e.g. sustainability questionnaires, support material

• Drive sustainability standardization of pod industry forward

• Follow up on sustainability trends, competitor sustainability analyzes


Could it be you?


To succeed in this role, you should already have a solid experience in sustainability management. We value the experience in standard based management systems ISO9001/14001/45001 and excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. It is important to have the ability to collaborate and interact with a variety of groups inside and outside of the company. You can set the sustainability vision inline with organization vision and strategy and establish drive and energy into Framerians via sustainability information and activities. It’s definitely a plus if you already have knowledge on furniture or building industry specific sustainability legislation, standards and voluntary certifications.

 You are a team player who is able to manage projects efficiently and have good time management and leadership skills. You enjoy solving problems and approach them in a solution-oriented manner. 

You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or other related field. You understand market dynamics and have sound business judgment. You take ownership and pride in your work and performance and their impact on the bigger picture. 

To ensure smooth communication with suppliers and colleagues, fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
