System Administrator (f/m/d)
Your Role
As our next System Administrator, you will play a critical role in managing and maintaining our IT systems and infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of our system environments. Proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing of servers, networks, and related technologies to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and manage organizational IT assets and maintain on-premises and cloud-based virtualization infrastructure across global offices.
- Provide technical support for local and remote users. Participate in cross-functional troubleshooting of complex application and performance issues in both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Perform ITIL-based support processes, including incident, problem, change, configuration, and event management.
- Maintain data backup and perform on-demand restorations, with a thorough understanding of existing backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Stay current with emerging technologies in virtualization and cloud computing, and proactively recommend improvements.
What You Bring
- Information technology related degree.
- Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows (Desktop and Server) environments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT).
- Technical customer support experience.
Must-Have Technical Skills:
- Experience with Linux-based systems.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with VPNs and secure network protocols (e.g., IPsec, HTTPS)
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Hands-on experience administering virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere/ESXi and Proxmox.
- Familiarity with networking products from HP Enterprise, Ubiquiti, and Fortinet, along with in-depth knowledge of Ethernet, VLANs, WLAN, IP, DNS, and related protocols.
Nice-to-Haves Technical and Non-Technical background& skills:
- Experience with IntelliJ or Eclipse IDEs.
- Familiarity with Java application servers (e.g., Wildfly, JBoss) and build tools like Ant or Maven.
- Experience with Git for source control.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, enterprise-level environments.
