We are currently looking for a motivated Team Leader for a one-year fixed term position!

As a Team Leader, Accounts Payable your key role is to support your team and enable it to function smoothly. You lead the team towards its goals with an encouraging and coaching approach.

Our team, accounts payable, provides timely and high-quality services to VTT Group. The special feature of the parent company’s, VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, finance is the separation of economic and non-economic activities as well as unusual VAT treatment. We give you the opportunity to be involved in development projects and to bring your views and knowledge to benefit the entire organization.

Your responsibilities as Team Leader, Accounts Payable:

  • You and your team are responsible for purchase and travel invoices verification, accounts payable ledger and payment transactions
  • You take actively part in the practical work of your team
  • Your goal is to continuously develop the team's activities and implement new ways of working.
  • You will contribute to the development of the financial IT-systems used by your team
  • You will have the opportunity to be involved in various development projects

Who we are looking for:

  • An overall understanding and knowledge of financial management processes based on work experience. Experience from a service center environment is an advantage.
  • An understanding and knowledge of value-added taxation and accounting
  • Strong interest and motivation towards team leader role and leadership, previous experience of team leader role is an asset.
  • Familiarity with the systems we use (Oracle EBS, Rondo R8, Nomentia and M2), and leveraging automation in financial management is an advantage.
  • A Bachelor of Business Administration degree or equivalent, suitable for the position
  • Fluent spoken and written Finnish. English is needed as a working language.
