We are looking for a Team Leader for our EU project finance team.

As a Team Leader, you will support and coach your team of 15 professionals specialising in European Commission funded projects. Our team focuses on delivering professional project finance services efficiently throughout the entire project life cycle, covering both financial and administrative aspects and ensuring compliance. In this role, you will ensure high quality service and efficient use of resources by fostering and developing the team and refining processes. You will be an integral part of VTT´s Finance unit within Project Finance services.

This is a versatile and impactful leadership position where you will have the opportunity to shape and further develop EU project finance services together with your team and other stakeholders. As a Team Leader, you will:

• Lead and inspire the EU project finance team
• Ensure harmonised professional service quality and efficient use of resources
• Leverage the team's skills to develop and refine processes, tools, and instructions
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration.

Who we are looking for:

• You have a strong interest and motivation towards a team leader role and leadership – previous experience in a team leader role is an advantage
• Knowledge of the European Commission Framework Programmes and their general conditions and financial rules
• Wide understanding of finance, especially project finance
• Excellent people skills, an active networking attitude and good presentation skills
• A finance related degree (e.g. BBA or Master) or applicable work experience
• Understanding of publicly funded research projects’ processes and contexts
• Fluent in Finnish and English.
