Team Leader, Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding (fixed-term until 31.8.2023)

We are now looking for an ambitious and motivated Team Leader to join our Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding team!

As a Team Leader, your key goal is to coach and lead a team of four to five professionals responsible for VTT’s Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding activities. You are responsible for developing impactful sourcing strategies to attract talents, creating an inspiring team vision through relevant discussions, setting clear goals for your team and overseeing their successful implementation as well as ensuring positive candidate and manager experience at VTT - all these activities are carried out in close collaboration with your team and relevant business functions. In addition, you will be working in the recruitment processes in your designated business area and you coach managers together with your team in the recruitment activities.

In the position, you will ensure VTT achieves its goals by attracting and selecting the best professionals for each role. You create innovative talent attraction strategies to reach both local and international talents. This is a fixed term position until the end of August 2023 due to parental leave. Ideally, you would start already during October 2021. The position is based in Otaniemi in our brand new FutureHub office, but our working style promotes flexible working arrangements.

 

Your key responsibilities include:

  • As a Team Leader you proactively identify and understand recruitment needs at VTT level, analyze recruitment data and actively discuss with internal business stakeholders. You develop and implement impactful sourcing strategies according to the recognized needs.
  • You plan and implement recruitment and employer branding actions to support successful talent acquisition and VTT’s employer image.
  • You make sure your team has an inspiring team vision and clear goals. You are responsible for coaching and helping the team reach its targets.
  • You make sure that your team works efficiently and is able to succeed its goals by planning and prioritizing the team’s actions. Your team members’ well-being, their performance and competence development are also in your priorities.
  • You follow the recruitment team’s success proactively using selected KPI’s and inspire your team to actively benchmark the best practices and new topics the field of talent acquisition and employer brand.  
  • Together with your team, you ensure the best possible candidate and manager experience with customer service mindset in VTT recruitments.
  • You participate in the recruitment processes in your designated business area, coach managers in recruitment activities and provide recruitment services performed by the entire team such as aptitude assessments.  
  • You participate in diverse development projects in your team and the HR team.

 

Who we are looking for:

To succeed in the position, we are looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition leader with a visionary approach and excellent knowledge in the field of talent acquisition and employer branding. You have a strong track record of recruitment and employer branding activities preferably in the field of technology and/or science and you are especially enthusiastic about developing candidate attraction methods using recruitment marketing, social media and direct search. You are familiar with diverse recruitment, sourcing and assessment tools. As an educational background, you have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.

As a team leader, you want to create positive drive and get people excited by coaching and setting ambitious targets together with the team. With your high ambition level and goal-oriented mindset, you ensure the high quality as well as constant development of the team activities. You have excellent communication skills and are able to communicate effortlessly both with Finnish and English. You collaborate proactively with within VTT and have the ability to build networks both within the company as well as outside of it.  You report to Manager for Talent Acquisition, Employer Branding, Digitalization, Analytics and Mobility.
