We are now looking for a Data Management and finance Trainee to join our Project Finance team. Join us - and let’s make an impact together!

With us, you will  focus on supporting our team and project members with versatile finance and data management topics. You handle projects’ financial matters during the project’s life cycle and play a role in supporting our archival operations and contributing to the effective management of data and records. You work closely with our project finance team to learn and contribute to data handling, and archiving process.

Our team provides support for financial management of publicly funded and customer projects. We operate in three sub teams, each responsible for different types of projects: European Commission funded projects, national public funding such as Business Finland and Research Council of Finland projects, and commercial projects.

This hands-on trainee opportunity will provide you with a possibility to develop our data management best practices and to create an improved model. If you get excited about GDPR and confidentiality matters, and at the same time want to get your hands dirty with organizing and archiving, this is the right position for you! 

The total duration of the traineeship is 4-5 months, ideally starting in May-June. The position is full-time during the summer, but part-time can be arranged if the trainee is studying in the autumn. The salary is based on study credits and is 2100-2400 e/month for Bachelor students and 2600-2800 e/month for Master students.

What would your responsibilities as a Trainee include?

• Learn, apply and establish improved processes for organizing data and archive
• Collaborating with team members to ensure accuracy and completeness of archival data 
• Assisting in categorization of archival materials 
• Supporting the development and implementation of quality control measures 
• Setting up and maintaining the project data in the systems  
• Overall support in financial and administrative matters 

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague with can-do attitude and service-mindset. You might have already gathered some experience in the field of data management and/or finance, but your attitude and ability to learn new things count for much more than previous experience. In your studies you are preferably close to graduation. Your background might be e.g. Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus area in legal, data processing or similar studies. You carry out tasks in a persistent and precise way. We are looking for a person who is proactive, enjoys versatile tasks and can adapt to a changing work environment. In addition, you have good interpersonal and communication skills. 

You should be able to work weekly on-site at our office in Espoo. Fluency in both Finnish and English is required for this role.
