Postdoctoral Researcher in the project GENTRY - Towards sustainability of multi-generational learning at work

 

The Faculty of Education and Psychology, Department of Education, University of Jyväskylälä is seeking to recruit a Postdoctoral Researchers starting February 1, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter, for a fixed term of 2  years.

The position is part of the Academy of Finland funded project "GENTRY - Towards sustainability of multi-generational learning at work”, which investigates generationality and its construction in healthcare and ICT organizations in Finland, Sweden, and Denmark. Who we are looking for

The position emphasizes internationally high-level research. The applicant must have, relative to their career stage, demonstrated research on generationality and/or workplace learning. The selected postdoctoral researcher is required to hold a relevant doctoral degree. In addition, the candidate must have in-depth expertise in quantitative and/or qualitative research methods and in developing participatory research methods. When assessing merits, we will consider national and international networking, experience and evidence of external research funding, experience in multidisciplinary research and collaborative projects, teaching and supervision experience, and strong collaboration skills. Proficiency in Swedish is considered an asset.

The duties, qualification requirements, and language skills of a postdoctoral researcher are stipulated by the University of Jyväskylä Regulations and language skills guidelines. The PhD degree required for the position must have been completed before the starting date. A trial period of six months will be used in the beginning of the employment.

The salary for a Postdoctoral Researcher is determined based on the task-specific demand level 5–6 of the university salary system for teaching and research staff. The salary range will be approximately 3600-4800 €/month (gross income), depending on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
