As a master's thesis worker, you will be contributing to our projects aiming at the development of sustainable batteries and supercapacitors. You will be designing, fabricating, and analysing the performance of the devices for energy generation and storage.

Our team, Flexible sensors, and devices work on eco-friendly printed and hybrid sensors and electronics, sustainable energy storage, next-generation wearable, and high-resolution printing solutions.

What your responsibilities as a Master's Thesis worker would include?

  • Design of the experiments 
  • Fabrication of electrodes for batteries and/ or supercapacitors
  • Assembly of the devices
  • Characterisation (electrochemical and surface properties) 
  • Analysis of the results 
  • Write your MSc Thesis including a literature review

The topic of the MSc Thesis will be energy generation and storage devices based on sustainable materials.

Who we are looking for?

  • Your studies are in the MSc Thesis stage at a Finnish university
  • A strong education in physical chemistry, energy conversion, and/or electrical engineering 
  • Interest in sustainable, next-generation energy generation and storage 
  • Experience in hands-on laboratory work, 
  • Excellent written English and spoken Finnish/English language skills
  • Good skills to report your results using Excel, Word, and Powerpoint applications.

  • Capability and willingness to carry out research independently 
  • Mind-set and capability for independently carrying out your work in a problem-solving, systematic manner based on the guidance of your supervisors
  • Eagerness to learn new things and develop your competencies in the field of sustainable energy devices.
